With Homecoming right around the corner, I wanted to share the hottest dresses for this year! Being in a private school, we don't have the average homecoming, so I'm going to live vicariously through this post, so to speak!

The most important part of homecoming, the dress, is the item you, along with everyone else, are going to remember about homecoming. This is also the part of your outfit that will determine all the other aspects. The most popular trends for dresses right now are:

Feather Fringe

Short Hems
Body Hugging
One Shoulder
Sleeved
Sparkly/Glitter
Now that you know the trends for Homecoming 2012, pick your favorite style, find a dress that rocks on you, and have an amazing and safe homecoming!
:) XOXO

Get This Fall's Hottest Look!

Patterns, lather, and fur are just some of the hottest hings to wear this fall! When I say patterns, I don't mean your average patterns......it's a little more out there patterns, but if you find the right pattern that works on you, and if you wear it with confidence, you can rock anything you want to! A few other things you're going to see are the color white, sequins, and hats. Lots of faux fur linings on purses or shoes, and the color white and neutrals are very "IN" this fall and winter! This seasons trends are very statement making and some are hard to pull off, but if you feel right in it, OWN it!

Which Body Type Are YOU?

Hey Everyone! Have you ever wondered, "Hm, I wonder what body type I am?" Well, if you have, then I have the answers for you!

To determine which body shape you have, you must first determine a few things.
  1. Do you have narrow, average, or wide hips?
  2. Do you have a small, average, or large chest?
  3. Do you have a small, average, or large backside?
  4. Do you have a narrow, average, or wide waist?
  5. Which body part, would you say, is your best?
  6. Which body part, would you say, is your worst?
  7. Are you tall, average, or short height?
These are all of the things you must determine before deciding what body shape you have.

Now that you have figured out those answers, we will move on to the body types!

APLLE- If you have wider hips, a larger chest, a smaller backside, a wider waist, and you have trouble with your waist- then you might be an apple shape. Apples tend to be round and circular, with a very large chest, thin legs and usually no backside.
Certain things you would want to wear if you were an apple shape would be: Printed skirts, V-neck shirts, short skirts, Low-rise pants with back pockets, and longer jackets.
Certain things you would want to avoid if you were an apple shape would be: Large patterns up top, tight pants and pleated pants, waist-level jackets, and tight shirts.

ATHLETIC- If you have broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and large everything else- then you might be a pear shape.
Certain things you would want to wear if you are a pear shape: Subtle patterns, delicate fabrics, cinching details, open necklines, sleeveless or spaghetti strapped shirts, and wide pants.
Certain things you would want to avoid if you were a pear shape would be: Large print, tight fabrics, sleeves and shrugs, tight pants.

HOURGLASS- If you have a narrow waist, a bigger chest, and wider hips- then you might be an hourglass shape.
Certain things you would want to wear if you are an hourglass shape would be: Belts, V-neck shirts, flared pants, pencil skirts, and wrap style dresses or jackets.
Certain things you would want to avoid if you are an hourglass shape would be: High-waisted pants, turtlenecks, and sleeved shirts.

PEAR- If you have an average chest and torso, but very large and wide hips, waist, and thighs- you may be a pear shape.
Certain things you would want to wear if you are a pear shape would be: Scarfs, dark bottoms, bright and patterned tops, flared bottoms, long jackets, V-neck shirts, and skinny sleeved shirts,
Certain things you would want to avoid if you are a pear shape would be: pleated pants, side pockets, capri pants, and jackets ending at your waist line.

Now that you have determined your body shape and what things look good on you and which don't, you can now wear your clothes with confidence!

Check in next week when I show you which jeans most flatter your shape and how to use fades to look slimmer or wider!

Until then, stay FABulous!
XOXO
